What I need

I'm so ready for the weekend. Oh, what was that? Ah yes, you are too... well, if you are anything like me, weekend = Mexican food.  Pardon me while I daydream...

Mmmmm... that would hit the spot. Oh, and please don't forget the margarita(s)...

While were at it... could I please be having this experience in San Miguel de Allende... that would be just super....

And if it's not too much trouble... a table next to the fountain please...

Sigh... that is all, carry on .

OK ... I really must stop.  I have spent WAY too much time on this website.  Honey, I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist. You may never get to date Giselle Bundchen, but you can certainly have her hair. Your welcome.

Strangely, I think my husband and I both look quite fetching in America Ferrera's hair

Giselle never looked better

Someone call CPS, because yes, I put Madonna hair on my 3 year old

And finally, Jennifer Garner - My daughter freaked out and kept saying, " That one mommy, that one please! "

Hidden treasure

I love old  wallpaper, so when I spotted some that had been uncovered during our neighbor's renovation - I knew I had to act fast ... Well, I knew I had to tell my husband to act fast - and go get me some before it was hauled away . He did, because he's like that ( sweet ).  I ever so carefully framed it for our dining room.  It was crumbling to dust each time I touched it, but it turned out great.  Serendipitously enough, it flows perfectly with the rest of the room. Hurrah for free old wallpaper !

Hello Lover ...

So , one of the reasons my husband will be getting these on his birthday , is because he surprised me with this one day . Yes my dears , I have a robot vacuum .  I was a little wary of it at first . Not because I thought it wouldn't do a good job , but because I tend to get inappropriately attached to things . I name all of the squirrels who come into our yard . There's one I call Pumpernickel who comes right up to the door . There's a spider who has spun his web amongst the rafters of our backyard pergola . His name is Steve ... Steve the spider .

So anyway - when he walked in with the robot vac , I thought , " Oh great , here we go . Now I'm going to be naming this thing . I'll worry about if it's battery is charging well . I'll worry about it getting tangled in the electrical chords , or getting stuck under the credenza ... again . " Well , truth be told , I do worry about my robot ... but I haven't named my robot .  Not yet , and hopefully not ever .... because that would make me as crazy as the people who buy these . Yes ... yes ... I have picked out my favorite one ... but I haven't bought it ... not yet ...

Something Beautiful

Pia Jane Bijkerk is an artist and stylist, who is living the life of my dreams . She has an incredible flat in Paris, and also rents a houseboat situated on a canal in Amsterdam . Her blog is heavenly . So inspirational . Immediately transports you from wherever you are , straight into her world . And her world is amazing . She has been posting a series of soundscapes on her blog. Just little snippets of life from where she happens to find herself. Just sounds of life. That's all.  Just gets right into your brain ... am totally hooked. It's art for your ears people. Is there even such a thing as auditory art? Not music, no spoken words, just sound .... need to find out. Here's a link to her soundscapes. Just scroll through the photos and push play ...

If this doesn't move you , I just don't think we can be friends .

The story

First came love ...

Then came marriage ...

Then came the not-so-baby-anymore ...

And life got really fun, really fast !
