Dutch doors - I totally love them

This kitchen is the same size and shape as ours. It's giving me lots of ideas for our (very much) future remodel.

I want this sink and faucet combo. I love the painted shiplap and the simple cabinets too.

I'll take that green kettle please.

Wide plank floors. Enough said.

If anyone had ever asked me if I liked trim and moldings the color of mustard, I would have said something like, " H$LL NO " . But this room is fabulous.

Everything about this makes me happy. I'm going to try to make those walnut garlands next year !

OK, now that I've gotten the procrastinating out of the way, it's time to cook and clean for turkey day. If I'm not back before tomorrow, I hope everyone has a happy, healthy, and fun holiday .

Kitchen Envy

I came across yet another great home tour on the Cookie Nesting blog today. I was especially drawn to the kitchen. It was so simple. Not fussy. Just sweet and cozy. Give me that any day over something generic and pricey. 

Later in the day, I checked out a favorite blog of mine, Door Sixteen, and she had seen the same kitchen ... and had the same thoughts too. I love it when that happens. I would love to make a cup of tea in any of these spaces.

Dishing on kitchens

I have a deep and sincere love for Fiestaware. It's just so darn cheerfull. It makes me happy.

Our main dishes are turquoise, and we have accent pieces in many other colors.

I was kitchen shopping over at the Cottage Living archives , and found two kitchens I'd be more than happy to bring home with me ... I wouldn't even need to get new dishes ... they'd fit right in ... see Honey, I'm saving you money already !

Kitchen Envy etc ... part deux

So ... remember when I said that my life would not be worth living until I had a kitchen with a ladder ... and that I was NOT exaggerating ? Well , this time I REALLY mean it ! I love it I want it I need it please before I die right here and now .   Oh, and those doors ? Yeah , I'll take those too .

Kitchen Envy etc ...

After stumbling upon this picture ... I've decided ... My life won't be worth living until I have a kitchen this cute with a ladder in it ... And I am not exaggerating .

P.S. : I'm looking into support groups for people who use * ... * too much ... like that ... get the idea ... Anyhoo ... I googled it and apparently there's nary a soul who can help me with that ... sorry . Oh, and am also currently googling for groups to help those who like to write some really really long run-on-sentences, use commas incorrectly, and have no need for proper grammar . That is all .
